"Banditskyi Peterburg" is a famous Russian series about bandits.

The name “Banditskyi Peterburg (Gangster Petersburg)” was coined by the crime reporter Andrei Bakonin – under this heading, a series of his articles about the organized crime of his native city was published. He headed the Agency for Journalistic Investigations, was a researcher of the history of crime and lectured at the Faculty of Journalism, and also wrote popular action novels. The journalist worked under the creative pseudonym Andrey Konstantinov.
