Axiom Space

Axiom Space is a company that is primarily interested making space a place for life and work, as well as enabling deep space exploration. The company was founded by Kam Ghaffarian and Michael Suffredini in 2015, in Houston, Texas, United States.

The company looks to provide ten day to half year missions to the International Space Station, and will begin the launch of their modules into orbit around 2024. Their customers are primarily space agencies from various countries, and offers missions to their customers for private astronauts. They offer opportunities for on-orbit commerce and science to test systems for deep space exploration.

Axiom Space uses human spaceflight engineering, training, operations, and program management to help construct human spaceflight programs. These programs help incentivize the growth of high-tech industries, stimulate the economy, inspire STEM educational programs, and build national and international respect. The mission planning for astronauts and space programs under Axiom includes training, transportation, provisions, micro-gravity experiments, and management.

Axiom Space is interested in developing and providing on-orbit manufacturing, or manufacturing in space. Some products that they look to manufacture in space include fiber optics, high-strength and low-weight alloy products, satellites, biomedical research components, biological tissues (which includes human organs), and micro-encapsulation.
