Ambrosius Bosschaert

Ambrosius Bosschaert was born on January 18, 1573, in Antwerp and died on January 1, 1621, in The Hague. He held citizenship in the Netherlands and was a noted botanical illustrator, artist, and painter of still-life genre. His notable work includes the painting "Vase of Flowers in a Window Niche".

Ambrosius Bosschaert had three children, Johannes Bosschaert, Abraham Bosschaert, and Ambrosius Bosschaert II, who followed in their father's artistic footsteps.
