The firm is based in Dublin, Ireland, with operations in more than 40 countries. As of October 2019, Accenture Ventures has 16 active companies in its portfolio and has sold off its shares in one company.

Accenture Ventures prefers to fund companies at the growth-stage of development. It specifically focuses on financing companies that are creating enterprise-level technologies , such as those in the artificial intelligence and blockchain industries.
