Company developing software that helps physicians communicate with their patients. Their main product Chain SMS is used by medical office staff to send text messages for a variety of communications such as appointment reminders or to remind patients to take prescriptions.

The flagship product of accuRx is Chain SMS, a product used by GP practices to communicate with their patients. It is a self-service enterprise software product. Within 12 months following the launch of Chain SMS, in February 2018, it grew by referral from being used in 0% to 20% of GP practices in England.



Chain SMS is designed to support nurses, administration staff and practice managers etc., as well as GPs. Uses for Chain SMS include sending advice to patients, notifying a patient of normal results, and reminding them to book appointments. The communication is saved back to a patient's medical record .



Co-founders Jacob Haddad and Laurence Bargery met on Entrepreneur First. While Accurx initially set out to develop a data-set and tools to help tackle the problem of inappropriate use of antibiotics, the startup has pivoted to focus on creating a broader platform for communication between medical teams and patients.As of 2019 Accurx raised £8.8 million in Series A funding.
