by the resolution of the Central Executive Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan, the plant was named after A.M. Gorky in honor of the 40th anniversary of the writer's literary and social activities

after evacuation to Paratsk (now Zelenodolsk) of parts of the Baltic and Izhora factories, the ship repair workshops will be transformed into the Volga Autonomous Shipbuilding and Mechanical Plant of the Maritime Commissariat.

The Parat ship repair workshops were nationalized by the new government

1895

By the decision of the Ministry of Railways of the Kazan District, the Parat ship repair workshops were founded. The main purpose of their creation is the repair of the technical fleet: dredging, dredging shells and auxiliary vessels. The Paratsky zaton was chosen for construction, located 40 km from the city of Kazan, at the intersection of the Volga River with the Moscow-Kazan railway, on land leased from the peasants of the village of Kabachishchi.
