Will Manidis

Will Manidis is a cofounder and the CEO of ScienceIO, formally known as Cascade.Bio. He was named a Thiel Fellow in 2019 for his Cascade.bio venture. Manidis is also a private investor and lives in New York.

Manidis cofounded ScienceIO with Gaurav Kaushik in 2019. ScienceIO is a data science company building an artificial intelligence platform for healthcare, and Manidis is the CEO. He helped the company raise $8 million in seed funding in October 2021.

Manidis has made approximately thirty personal investments, which he discloses on his personal website. Investments include several early rounds in companies such as Vana, Mainstreet, Vial, Varda, Loyal, Party Round, CommandBar, Dorsal, Hex, Prefix, Texts, Broadcast, Inngest, Catena, Treecard, Wander, and Butterfly. He has also made direct investments in the Banana Cap fund, Todd & Rahul's Angel Fund, Heterosis Ventures, and the Weekend Fund.

Manidis was a fellow with The Thiel Foundation from 2019 to 2021. From 2016 to 2019, Manidis worked with the Dorm Room Fund, first as a partner then as a managing partner. Manidis also worked with healthcare data for Immuneering Corporation and Foundation Medicine.

In 2015, while still in high school, Manidis cofounded PathwaysAI, a now inactive mobile health start-up focused on leveraging artificial intelligence technologies to empower patients suffering from chronic diseases such as Parkinson's.

Manidis graduated high school from Westtown School in 2017. While there, he was the captain of the robotics team. He then spent eighteen months as a student at Olin College, a small, collaborative engineering school outside Boston, before being named a Thiel Fellow.
