There is a term - poets-veterans. This is a generalized term that is applied to young Soviet poets who spent their youth in the battles of World War II and whose poems well reflect the atmosphere of the front.

Some died at the front, others lived longer, but many, as predicted by Semyon Gudzenko (Semyon Petrovich Gudzenko - Russian Soviet poet and journalist, war correspondent.,) did not die of old age:
