Vega is a blockchain development company creating a platform capable of managing capital through a decentralized network. The company is headquartered in Gibraltar, Gibraltar and was founded by Barney Mannerings in 2018.

The Vega platform is an open and publicly transparent system for creating, trading, and executing financial products and services. The Vega trading platform is fully automated end-to-end and incentivizes liquidity by distributing trading fees to liquidity providers. The trading platform also can automatically and transparently create margin calculations and risk management solutions.

Funding

Seed

On October 2, 2019 Vega completed their seed funding round with $5 million in funding from Pantera Capital (lead investor), Xpring, Hashed and KR1. Participants of the seed round purchased an unnamed ERC-20 cryptocurrency token that will manage the staking and governance of the Vega blockchain. The company plans on using their seed funding to build the companies software and creatie a supportive Vega community for developers and potential users.
