Vadim Wolfson (aka Vadim Belyaev) began his trading career more than 20 years ago in Russia. He became Manager of the Securities Trading Department at the Russian Aura Bank. Within two years he was promoted to deputy CEO. In 1995, Wolfson left the bank and launched VEO-Invest, a telecommunications assets company. Two years later he became company CEO. In 2001 the firm consolidated with BK Otkritie, becoming VEO-Otkrite – Russia’s largest private financial company.
