The University of North Florida (UNF) is a public educational institute located in Jacksonville, Florida, United States. Founded in 1969, UNF is a part of the State University System of Florida and the American Association of State Colleges and Universities. The university operates under the motto "No one like you. No place like this.".
UNF has been accredited by various organizations, such as the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, the American Council for Construction Education, the American Chemical Society, Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of ABET, and Computing Accreditation Commission (CAC) of ABET. Additionally, the Applied and Natural Science Accreditation Commission of ABET, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, and the Association for University Programs in Health Administration have all recognized UNF.
The university is also affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association and the National Athletic Association. As part of the State University System of Florida, UNF operates as a parent organization of the Coastal and Marine Biology Flagship Program and the University of North Florida Department of Music.
