A composite conductor 10 includes a superconductor 12 provided continuously in the flowing direction of the electric current, and a metal conductor 11 joined with the superconductor 12 and provided at least at a joint part with mating conductors 50, 60 to be joined, wherein the electric current is fed and received between the metal conductor 11 and the mating conductors 50, 60 by joining the metal conductor 11 and the mating conductors 50, 60, and wherein the superconductor 12 is arranged in the metal conductor 11 so as to be approximately parallel to the joint surface (joint interface) between the metal conductor 11 and the mating conductors 50,60.
