One or more embodiments include surveying a structure with a sensor in communication with a mobile computing device, generating a model of the structure based on the survey of the structure, simulating water movement in relation to the structure to determine a potential for water damage to the structure, and determining whether to purchase flood insurance for the structure based on the simulation of the water movement in relation to the structure.
