Third Kind Venture Capital is a venture capital fund headquartered in New York City. It was founded in 2010 by former Microsoft executive and Pinterest investor Shana Fisher. Third Kind Venture Capital provides early and growth stage capital to companies in emerging industries. It has invested in the software, financial services, digital media, information technology, life sciences, and education sectors. The fund closed its initial fund in 2017 with a value of $44.325 million. It was announced in 2019 that the firm was opening its second fund with a goal of $65 million.
