The platform generates protocols for molecular cloning methods and DNA library assembly. It is based on the j5 software platform developed by scientists, including co-founder Nathan Hillson, at Joint BioEnergy Institute (JBEI). The company was founded in 2011 and is headquartered in San Francisco, California.
