Soar is a Toronto-based software company that uses artificial intelligence to streamline the process of discovering mental health issues in patients who seek treatment from physicians. It's stated goal is to provide better physician-client communication and reduce the time physicians spend documenting data on their patients.
Soar uses artificial intelligence to generate questions to be asked to the patient before they receive a consultation from the physician. The medical analysis highlights important findings so that the physician can plan a course of treatment for the patient. Once the treatment is administered, Soar will track the patient's progress. It can also aid in the billing process for the physician's practice.
The founders of Soar discovered there was a need for high-efficiency data collection and analysis for mental health patients in Ontario. With the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) and its billing policies, mental health physicians in Toronto are often overwhelmed with patients due to rising mental health and addiction issues in the territory. Soar streamlines the consultation and progress tracking aspects of the mental health field, allowing physicians to care for their patients more efficiently.
