Slack Technologies or Slack is a company operating a messaging platform that enables teams to communicate. It provides real-time messaging, archiving and searching services.

Slack is a communication tool in which chats happens in channels, are organized by project, topic, or team. Conversations are searchable.

Slack was incorporated in 2009 as Tiny Spec, Inc. Later in 2009, they changed name to Tiny Speck, Inc. and in 2014 changed name to Slack Technologies, Inc.
