The Six Day War is a war in the Middle East between Israel on one side and Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Iraq and Algeria on the other, which lasted from June 5 to June 10, 1967.

In May 1967, tensions quickly escalated between Israel on the one hand, and Syria and Egypt on the other. On May 14, Egypt announced mobilization in and around the Suez Canal zone; by May 19, UN troops separating Egyptian and Israeli forces in the Sinai were withdrawn at the request of the Egyptian side; on May 22, the blockade of Israeli shipping in the Gulf of Aqaba began; By the end of May, Jordan and Iraq had joined the Arab military coalition.

On the morning of June 5, 1967, the Israeli Air Force operation began, destroying the Arab coalition air force in a few hours, after which Israel defeated the Arab armies left without air support for 6 days.
