Sinara Transport Machines is a Russian transportation vehicle manufacturing and engineering company based in Ekaterinburg. The company was established in 2007 as a division of the Sinara Group.
History
2007 - The holding "Sinara - Transport Machines" was formed, which combined the scientific, technical and production potential of transport engineering enterprises. The holding included the Lyudinovsky Diesel Locomotive Plant and the Ural Diesel Engine Plant.
2009 - Within the structure of the holding, its own multidisciplinary engineering center, the Center for Innovative Development of STM, was formed.
2010 - A joint venture between the Sinara Group and the Siemens concern, the Ural Locomotives Plant, was established, specializing in the production of new generation rolling stock. Sinara - Transport Machines holding received a grant from Skolkovo for the development of a new generation of diesel locomotives.
2011 - In order to develop service competencies in the market of transport engineering, a subsidiary, STM-Service, was created.
2013 - The holding included the leading domestic enterprise for the development and production of track railway equipment - Kalugaputmash.
2016 - Sinara Group has entered into a strategic memorandum with the Russian Railways, Gazprom and Transmashholding in the field of development and production of railway vehicles running on gas motor fuel.
2017 - The holding included the Novosibirsk Electric Locomotive Repair Plant, which specializes in all types of repairs of DC mainline electric locomotives.
2018 - The Remputmash Group became part of the holding, which allowed STM to occupy more than 80% of the Russian market and take the 3rd place in the world among manufacturers of track machines; A contract was signed with Gazprom for the supply of gas and diesel shunting locomotives.
2019 - A joint venture "Sinara-Skoda" was created to develop innovative trams, metro cars, trolleybuses and electric buses for large urban agglomerations; STM Holding and Afreximbank signed an agreement on cooperation in the development of projects for the supply of shunting diesel locomotives and track equipment to Africa.
2020 - The RSP-M group of companies, the leader of the Russian rail welding and grinding market, became part of the Sinara-Transport Machines holding.
2021 - A subsidiary company, STM-Kazakhstan LLP, was established.

Trading House STM
Ural Diesel Engine Plant - the plant was formed in 1941 as part of a large scale movement of industrial capacity from western Russia during the Second World War. In 2008 it was acquired by the Sinara Group and became the limited liability company Ural diesel engine plant.
Lyudinovsky Locomotive Plant - the plant was founded in 1745. In 2007 it became a part of Sinara Transport Machines.

STM-Service - Company "STM-Service" the only one in Russia that performs service maintenance of gas-powered locomotives on the basis of the Artemovsky depot.

Achievements
Sinara Group was the first company to take part in the engineering and construction of facilities of the new Arkhyz all-season mountain resort.
Charity
The Sinara Charitable Foundation is one of the largest charitable organizations in Russia. Support is provided in various areas, such as health care, education, culture, sports and social protection of the population. Sinara Group provides assistance and support to an average of 100 non-profit organizations annually.
