Silvio Micali has received awards and citations for his works in computer science and cryptography. He won the Gödel Prize in 1993 and the RSA prize in 2004. He became a member of the National Academy of Sciences and a Fellow of the International Association for Cryptologic Research (IACR) in 2007. Micali is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He received the Turing Award in 2012 with Shafi Goldwasser for their work in cryptography. The University of Salerno acknowledged his studies and gave him honoris causa degree in Computer Science in 2015. In 2017, he was elected as an Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) FellowACM) Fellow.
