SilkSwap

SilkSwap

SilkSwap provides a mobile application that allows users to wear any clothes from an array of designers and fashion boutiques and share photos on social media.

Silkswap is a company offering a platform for augmented reality (AR) clothing wear. Silkswap was founded by Bhavin Gupta and Ethan Anderson. Some of the website’s service is currently running in private beta, though its iOS mobile application has been available since May 2019. As of August 2019, the company has only provided service in the United States.

Product & Service

Silkswap offers a platform that allows individuals to purchase clothing items shown in the website’s catalog. These items are designed by fashion designers that have partnered with Silkswap. However, the items would not be physically available for the users; rather, Silkswap would provide a digital version of the designs to be worn in photos. Users would need to upload the photo to the platform, and Silkswap would attach the design to the users’ portraits. Each clothing item purchased can only be used once in a photo. Silkswap offers one-off purchase as well as a subscription to their digital wardrobe. All of their garments are gender-neutral and are able to fit any body size.
