Founded 2012 in Hamburg, Germany by Dirk Freise, Martin Ostermayer, and Thorsten Rehling, it invests in early stage ventures and seed rounds. Its portfolio companies include Stocard, tado°, ZenMate, and Mediakraft Networks. As of April 2020, Shortcut Ventures has made 14 investments. Their most recent investment was on June 5, 2018, when Stocard raised $20M. Shortcut Ventures has had two exits, the most notable of which include ZenMate and Mediakraft Networks. The company has raised a single venture fund, Shortcut Ventures GmbH Fund I. This fund was announced on February 8, 2012 and raised a total of €40M.
