According to the company's website (as of October 2019) they spend $3.5 billion annually on research & development in their technologies. The firm is also 100% based in the United States and only employs United States citizens.
The company also has a venture capital division called NS2 Ventures which invests primarily in cyber and analytic technology companies. Companies receiving investment from NS2 Ventures must be relevant for both national security and commercial markets, and have an interest in integrating SAP platforms and/or delivery solutions.
