Shira first bought Bitcoin in 2013 and has been an advocate of the subversive and liberal ideology behind crypto since then (no worries, she's HODLing). Alon was immersed in the sophisticated technology of cryptocurrency and in 2015 mined Ethereum for months on end until his wife pulled the plug on his home operation to reclaim her living room area.

We both worked for the Israeli government in different capacities and accumulated over a decade of cybersecurity experience before we met in the then newly-established innovation department in 2018. We quickly joined forces and founded the FinTech Labs, integrating our passion for crypto into our professional careers for the first time.

Three years later, having watched the emergence and development of the Defi space, we found ourselves inspired by how the vision of decentralization was being realized and we had an urge to take an active part in the revolution. With smart contracts and composable code, vulnerabilities are now an inherent part of the space. Being crypto native and with a solid cybersecurity background, it became clear to us that protecting the DeFi space was our calling.

Following that instinct, we left the government sector and founded Redefine Technologies in June 2021 to focus on securing the Defi space for investors, doing our part in the democratization of financial services, and changing the world for the better. We're loving every minute of it.
