Qualtech Systems, Inc. (QSI) proposes a Cyber-Resiliency Modeling and Assessment Framework leveraging its expertise in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches, which facilitates cross-system risk-assessment of cyber-vulnerabilities, and analysis-of-options (AoA) studies in an ICS (Industrial Control System) architecture. An MBSE approach coupled with Risk Engineering would yield a comprehensive modeling and simulation tool to measure cyber-resiliency of an ICS SoS (System-of-Systems). The Cyber-Resiliency modeling framework will integrate multiple knowledge sources to provide a consolidated and holistic view of the system, thereby reducing procurement and sustainment costs of designing a cyber-resilient system. The tool will quantify the system’s overall cyber-resiliency risks resulting in better system architectures and designs, resulting in an improvement in risk reduction and resiliency. A unified, System-of-Systems (SoS) modeling and simulation tool helps speedup the cybersecurity risk assessment and security control implementation processes by accommodating critical steps in the Risk Management Framework (RMF) life cycle. This leads to reduced cost of system development through rapid creation, evaluation, selection and implementation of cybersecurity design concepts; reduced operational costs by reusing the models across the product life cycles; and enhanced communication and coordination among stakeholders.
