Lyudmila Vladimirovna Petranovskaya (born April 20, 1967, Tashkent) is a Russian psychologist, teacher and publicist.

Graduated from the Philological Faculty of Tashkent University. Later she graduated from the Moscow Institute of Psychoanalysis (1999). In 2020, she graduated from the HSE Master's degree in "Systemic Family Psychotherapy".

In the 1990s, she worked on an encyclopedia for children published by Avanta+. In this regard, in 2002, together with a number of employees of the publishing house, she became a laureate of the prize of the President of the Russian Federation in the field of education.

Author of numerous educational books for children. The first of them - "The Starry World in pictures" (with illustrations by G. Litichevsky) — was published in 2004 and then was expanded and published under the title "Starry Sky" (with drawings by A. Selivanov). The most famous is the series of books "What to do if ...", which offers a variety of advice to a younger student in difficult situations; in 2013, the series was supplemented a book for high school students "What to do if an exam is waiting?".

He is also the author of widely known books addressed to parents: "Secret support. Attachment in the life of a child" (2014) and "If it is difficult with a child" (2014), in which he develops and popularizes the theory of attachment.

They are joined by the book "Selfmama. Life hacks for a working mom" (2017).

For many years she has been dealing with the psychological problems of orphanhood and adoption. In 2012, she created the Institute for the Development of Family Structure— a public organization that trains future foster parents and social workers. She has published books "An adopted child came to class" (2008), "A Child of two families" (2013), "Minus One? Plus one!" (2015) to help foster parents.
