Perksy is a mobile platform providing a do-it-yourself (DIY) consumer insights platform that rewards consumers for their participation that is headquartered in New York City, New York and was founded in 2015 by Nadia Genevieve Masri. Perksy is designed for delivering surveys to collect consumer data about specific products and services. All consumers using Persky are rewarded for answering surveys on Persky through the apps Perkstore.
The Perksy app allows businesses to target consumers to gather data from using more than 35 demographic traits, social media accounts, location, and behavioural traits. The company's website claims to have consumer representation in every state in the United States and from over 168 cultural backgrounds. Notable customers that have used Persky for gathering consumer data include: Ogilvy, Pepsico, Dro5a, AirBnB, R/GA, Cirque Du Soleil, Nickelodeon, and Smucker's.
On April 1, 2017 Perksy announced raising $500,000 in angel round funding from undisclosed investors.
On February 4, 2019 Perksy announced raising $4 million in seed funding from Bain Capital Management (lead investor), Sinai Ventures, MDC Ventures, GingerBread Capital, and Founder Collective. The company plans on using their seed funding to hire more employees, enhance their market research platform, and to begin incorporating in-store elements into their business model.
On February 26, 2019 Perksy received non-equity assistance from The New York Fashion Tech Lab (NYFTLab) through participating in NYFTLab's sixth cohort of its fashion tech innovation lab. The sixth cohort focuses consisted of a total of 9 women-led companies, and the program finished on June 13, 2019 at the Tech Runway Demo Day.
