Oryx (machine learning)

Oryx is a mahine learning framework for building applications.

Oryx is an open source machine learning framework for building applications. It is the realization of the Lambda Architecture built on Apache Kafka and Apache Spark. It is a project by Cloudera, a Hadoop software vendor.

It is written in Java, using Apache Spark, Apache Hadoop, Apache Tomcat, Apache Kafka, Apache Zookeeper and more. It uses Typesafe configuration file.

It consists of three tiers, a generic Lambda Architecture tier, providing batch, speed and serving layers, a specialization machine learning algorithm for hyperparameter selection and end-to-end implementation of machine learning algorithms as applications such as k-means, ALS and random decision forests.

It is a package that includes end-to-end applications for collaborative filtering, classification, regression and clustering. It is a tool that allows users to create predictive or recommendation system applications.
