O’Reilly Alpha Tech Ventures, also known as OATV, is a venture capital firm founded in 2005. The firm was established by Bryce Roberts, Mark Jacobsen, and Tim O'Reilly. It is a subsidiary of Tim O’Reilly’s company, O’Reilly Media, a company that publishes computer and technology books and websites. OATV is based in San Francisco, California. As of March 2019, the firm is managing 55 active companies in its portfolio and has sold off its ownership in 28 companies. Its most recent investment occurred in February 2019 for Signal Sciences, a company providing web protection platform services.

Funding

OATV focuses on funding companies at the seed and early stage of financing.
