Noir (NOR), formerly Zoin, is a privacy cryptocurrency using the Zerocoin protocol to ensure user privacy. Zoin officially rebranded as NOIR on August 13, 2017, and the Noir platform officially launched as Zoin on November 5, 2016. Nior uses the Lyra2z330 hash algorithm in combination with a Proof-of-Work (PoW) consensus mechanism which uses only the CPU (no GPU and no ASIC). The Noir cryptocurrency wallet is available for Microsoft Windows, MacOS, Linux, Web, Android, and IOS.
