The artificial intelligence Mezi has developed acts as a travel assistant. The platform takes the desired destination of the user and books the flight, hotel, gives suggestions about what to do at the destination, checks the user in to the hotel, and acts as a guide when the user arrives. The service that Mezi provides is available through a messaging application.
Mezi's artificial intelligence uses machine learning to improve their services as more users take advantage of their platform. The company was acquired by American Express to improve their AskAmex concierge application. The deep learning and natural language processing systems were chosen by American Express over IBM Watson and others, as the messaging system will be used to expand their global network.
Mezi raised $11.8 million in series A in July 2016 from American Express Ventures.
