MGMWERX

The United States Air Force sponsors MGMWERX as an initiative to fast track the development of solutions and enhanced capabilities of deployed solutions. It is part of the DEFENSEWERX Family of Innovation Hubs. It acts as a catalyst for flexible Air Force engagement with private industry, academia, and other non-traditional contributors to the Air Force to improve the culture of innovation within the Air Force.

MGMWERX holds challenge events to bring together people working in defense, academia, startups, and small businesses to solve problems and develop technologies of interest to the Air Force. Winners of MGMWERX challenges are not automatically awarded future contracts with the United States armed forces, and there is no guaranteed monetary prize for challenge participants. Participants are rewarded for their participation by gaining the opportunity to showcase their work, ideas, and businesses to other participants while contributing to both strategic and technical challenges of maintaining the United States' national security interests.
