Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts is a nonprofit organization founded by John D. Rockefeller III on January 1, 1955. It is located in New York City, United States and is named after Abraham Lincoln. The organization operates as a 501(c)(3) entity and is led by CEO Henry Timms.

Lincoln Center is involved in the arts industry and owns several venues, including Alice Tully Hall, the Vivian Beaumont Theater, Damrosch Park, David Geffen Hall, David H. Koch Theater, the Metropolitan Opera House (Lincoln Center), and the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts.
