Kensington Capital Partners is an Ontario based investment firm making investments in private equity, venture capital, and alternative investment classes. Thomas Kennedy founded the firm in 1996. The firm focuses on digital media, energy, software solutions, green tech, life science, and healthcare. Along with Kensington Venture Fund, it also manages the BC Tech Fund, a $101 million venture capital fund launched by the Government of British Columbia in 2016. It has invested in companies like BitStew Systems, BlueAnt media, Kognitiv, IronNet Cybersecurity, SoundHound, and Pandora Radio.
