John Ford

John Ford was born on February 1, 1894, in Cape Elizabeth, Maine . Ford was an American film director, film producer, screenwriter, and filmmaker ,(4522445)(4522446)(74778638). He was best known for directing films such as The Informer , My Darling Clementine , The Quiet Man , and The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance . Ford was a United States citizen and attended Portland High School in Maine .

Throughout his career, Ford directed numerous films, including Silver Wings , The Black Watch , and The Long Voyage Home . He also authored several films, such as Hell Bent , A Gun Fightin' Gentleman , and The Scrapper .

Ford received various awards during his lifetime, including the American Film Institute award , Directors Guild of America Award , and multiple Academy Awards for Best Director . He was also honored with a star on the Walk of Fame .
