Jaxx was developed in 2014 by Canadian blockchain company Decentral. Jaxx is digital wallet used for storing and using Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, Monero, and more than 80 other cryptocurrencies, and does not require users sign-up or register before using the Jaxx wallet. The Jaxx cryptocurrency wallet allows users to view their balances, see their transactions histories, and view detailed information about the cryptocurrencies they are holding inside the wallet. The Jaxx wallet is integrated with a third-party application known as ShapeShift AG, an application for transferring digital assets between different cryptocurrencies and types of tokens.
Key features include a 12-word masterseed for private keys management and and swap between cryptocurrencies and tokens. The Jaxx wallet is available for free on several different platforms such as Windows, Mac, Linux, IOS, Android, and as a Chrome browser extension. The 12-word master seed allows users to control their digital assets between their Jaxx wallets on multiple devices.
