Insight Venture Partners is a venture capital and private equity firm investing in technology and software companies that is headquartered in New York City, New York and was founded in 1995 by Jeff Horing and Jerry Murdock. According to the companies website (as of September 2019), the company has made over 300 primary investments, over 200 portfolio-led acquisitions, and over 100 strategic exits. Notable exits made by Insight Venture Partners include: Shopify, Twitter, Delivery Hero, HelloFresh, Qualtrics, and New Relic.
On July 19, 2018 Insight Venture Partners announced raising $6.3 billion for their Fund X investment fund. The largest investors on the Fund X investment fund are the general partners of Insight Venture Parters. After completing raising money for their Fund X investment Fund, Insight Venture Partners reportedly has over $23 billion under its management. One of the managing directors of Insight Venture Partners, Deven Parekh, made the following comments about the companies Fund X investment fund:
