IXcore is a venture capital and private equity firm investing in early-stage geosciences, energy, defense, photonics, maritime, fishers, and aerospace companies that is headquartered in Marly-le-roi, France and was founded in 2001. IXcore has several investment divisions which include: Sonar Systems division, Shipyeard division, Sea Operations division, Motion Systems division, Photonics division, Acoustic Positioning division, Robopec (artificial intelligence) division, and Navigation Systems division. The firm has 19 offices around the world, more than 650 employees, invests in companies operating in approximately 40 countries, has an 80% turnover abroad, and invests 20% of its turnover into research and development projects.
