Honored Art Worker of the RSFSR

The title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR was awarded to well-known artists in the USSR, composers, singers, writers, directors, artists and other artists for special personal merits. The title of "Honored Artist of the RSFSR" was awarded to such famous people as Vladimir Migulya, Vyacheslav Dobrynin, Nikita Bogoslovsky and many others. The next degree of recognition was the title of "People's Artist of the RSFSR", then "People's Artist of the USSR".

Established on August 10, 1931. Since May 16, 1992, in all documents it is referred to as the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, but the badge was awarded with minor changes until 1996. A Diploma of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR is attached to the badge.

The honorary title "Honored Art Worker of the Russian Federation" is awarded to highly professional architects, choreographers, designers, playwrights, art historians, composers, directors, cameramen, choirmasters, artists, workers of creative workshops and other artists for special personal merits:

• in the creation of highly artistic images, performances, films and television films, concert, circus programs, musical, television and radio works, works of painting, sculpture, graphics and monumental art, which have received wide recognition from the public and the professional community;
• in the study, preservation, development and popularization of Russian artistic culture and art;

• in active participation in the organization and holding of socially significant concerts, performances, exhibitions and other cultural events in Russia and abroad, related to the moral education of the younger generation, the popularization of Russian culture and the implementation of charitable activities;
• in the education and training of creative personnel.
