The company has been developing the device with aerospace-grade radar techniques, intelligent signal processing, and beam steering to map obstacles in a 3D environment. The software on the device uses machine learning to differentiate between types of obstacles in the surrounding. The Hertzwell device is of a size of a smartphone without any movable parts making it easy to fit into any vehicle system.
