Heliogen's patented technology powers historically dirty processes with clean, renewable sunlight and is also capable of transforming sunlight into fuels like hydrogen and syngas. The company's technology at scale is efficient enough to make ultra-high temperature heat and renewable fuels competitive with fossil fuels.
HelioMax is an array of computer-controlled mirrors that collect and concentrate sunlight on a point, enabling that point to reach extremely high temperatures.
HelioHeat is heat up to 1,500 Celsius that can be used for industrial processes such as the manufacture of cement, steel, petrochemicals, and similar processes. Unlike traditional methods, HelioHeat enables these processes to be carbon-free.
The heat from HelioMax is also capable of thermo-chemically splitting water to create 100% green hydrogen, the company's first HelioFuel.
Heliogen announced its launch and that it has - for the first time commercially - concentrated solar energy to exceed temperatures greater than 1,000 degrees Celsius.
