HealthSherpa is an insurance technology company offering a platform for finding and purchasing health insurance in compliance with the Affordable Care Act that is headquartered in San Francisco, California and was founded in 2013 by Catherine Perez, George Kalogeropoulos, Michael Wasser, and Ning Liang.
On August 21, 2012 HealthSherpa completed their seed funding round with an undisclosed amount of funding from Y Combinator. On August 20, 2013 HealthSherpa expanded their seed funding with another undisclosed amount of funding from Y Combinator, Plug and Play, Kapor Capital, Innovation Endeavors, Group 11, and Andreessen Horowitz.
Venture round 1
On November 1, 2014 HealthSherpa completed their first venture funding round with $3 million in funding from The Valley Fund, Redpoint, and Adreessen Horowitz.
Venture round 2
On February 14, 2017 HealthSherpa completed their second venture funding round with $6.6 million in funding from Core Innovation Capital (lead investor) and The Valley Fund.
