Gosho Aoyama is a Japanese manga artist born on June 21, 1963 in Daiei, Tottori. He holds Japanese citizenship and pursued his education at Nihon University. Aoyama's occupations include animator, comics artist, and most notably, mangaka.
Aoyama is the creator of several successful manga and anime works such as Magic Kaito, Detective Conan series, and its movies including Detective Conan: The Phantom of Baker Street and Detective Conan: The Lost Ship in the Sky. Lupin the 3rd vs. Detective Conan and Lupin the 3rd vs. Detective Conan: The Movie are among the crossovers that Gosho Aoyama has created.
Aoyama is best known for his notable work, Case Closed, which he is both the founder and author of. The manga artist also goes by the alias あおやま ごうしょう.
