Gold Fig Labs - also known as Gold Fig - is a company developing a browser extension which records configuration changes in software-as-a-service (SaaS) products, such as Stripe, SendGrid, and Zapier. It was established in 2019 by Greg Soltis and Vikrum Nijjar. Gold Fig Labs aims to provide an automatic service to track any configuration changes in software used by teams with multiple members having different user access levels. The company is based in San Francisco, California. Gold Fig Labs received $150,000 in funding on 2019 from Y Combinator during for its seed round.
To access Gold Fig Labs, users must install a browser extension, which as of August 2019, is only available through Google Chrome. When activated in the SaaS tool’s settings web page, the extension would automatically track any occurring configuration changes. A separate URL is used where users can view any past changes to a software’s settings, detailing what was changed, who changed it, and when did the change happen. The extension tracks several objects on the setting pages, except input fields marked as password.
