On August 16, 2017 Gobi partners announced raising $200 million in capital for their Meranti ASEAN Growth Fund which will focus on making investments in businesses in the ASEAN region working in the following industries: cloud services, e-commerce, financial technology, and Muslim-focussed technology (also known as Taqwatech).
