On June 17, 2019 Gobi Partners announced raising $10 million in capital for their Malaysia SuperSeed Fund II. The firm plans on using the fund to invest in companies operating in Malaysia in the following industries: artificial intelligence, big data, cloud services, e-commerce, financial technology, internet of things, marketplaces, the circular economy, and companies that cater to Muslim consumers

Meranti ASEAN Growth Fund

On August 16, 2017 Gobi partners announced raising $200 million in capital for their Meranti ASEAN Growth Fund which will focus on making investments in businesses in the ASEAN region working in the following industries: cloud services, e-commerce, financial technology, and Muslim-focussed technology (also known as Taqwatech).
