Filtered is an interview platform that is designed to help companies hire engineers based on abilities of the applying engineers rather than resumes. The company was founded in 2016 by Jili Huang and Paul Bilodeau, in Boston, Massachusetts.
The software that Filtered provides, allows hiring managers to use coding tasks to screen candidates based on coding abilities to find the best engineer for a job. Filtered has developed a minimum viable product (MVP) that allows candidates to log a video introduction, upload a resume, and take a standardized code test. Each interview that is submitted to a company is automatically analyzed by Filtered's software. The software let's the hiring manager know if an applicant is fraudulent or dishonest.
Each Filtered coding test lasts under an hour and is the same test that is provided to each applicant. The test is analyzed along with the applicant's social media and video recording, but does not make the decision whether or not to hire an applicant for the company.
Filtered.ai is a company that participated in the Class 117 - Anywhere 2018 Q1 cohort of Techstars and raised an estimated $100,000.
