Earlybird Venture Capital is a venture capital firm founded in 1997 by four individuals: Christian Nagel, Hendrik Brandis, Roland Manger, and Rolf Mathies. The firm’s base of operation is located in Europe, with a headquarters located in Berlin, Germany. It also has offices in Munich, Germany and Istanbul, Turkey. With its last funding series occurring in July 2018, Earlybird Venture Capital has managed a fund portfolio totaling €1.2 billion. This funding round collected €175 million for its Digital West fund, which focuses on early-stage digital technology opportunities in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, UK, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, and Southern Europe.
