Initially, the software was developed in the form of a browser extensionbrowser extension that can be installed in Google Chrome. The extension was meant to scrap data from web pages and categorizing them through tags. The output would be available for download in the form of CSV or JSON files. Later on, the extension was further developed into a software which uses machine learning to extract API from visited web pages. It functions similarly to its extension counterpart; through tagging the page elements that would be extracted. The data would then be displayed in the form of command-line interfaces. However, unlike the extension, to access the application’s capability, users must install the Dashblock software, which is available for both Windows and Mac operating systems.
