Overview

British Pearl Finance launched in 2018 in London. Its founders are Ali Celiker, Anj Latif and Kobi Lehrer. In July 2018 Lord Fink - a Conservative party treasurer and former hedge fund manager- invested £7m into British Pearl.

In December 2018 it announced that it had reached its initial target of £2 million equity investment via Seedrs from over 450 investors.

...

In January 2019 it launched its Innovative Finance ISA, allowing investors to make tax free earnings on their peer to peer and financial investments.

Share investment

Share Investors buy a share of the company that directly owns the properties listed on the platform. Properties include buy to let properties and development properties.

Investors receive a monthly dividend from the rental income of the property.

Loan investment

Loan investors lend their investment to the company that owns the property. Loan investors thereby act as a mortgage lender, meaning that British Pearl does not need to take out a bank mortgage, unlike traditional models of property investment.

Loan interest is accrued daily, and investors receive a monthly fixed interest rate and also have first legal charge over the property.
