Our mission is to be the primary source of quality assets and become the go-to asset factory in the Play-and-Earn ecosystem – a pillar of the Play-and-Earn economy and equip the next billion players.

What is the purpose of BreederDAO?

The primary pain point of guilds (as confirmed by Yield Guild Games and other top guilds) is the shortage of “quality” assets in the market (“quality” as the most sought after traits of these assets that can generate the best returns within a specified period).

The type of assets that meet their standard of quality (e.g ones with specific/preferred traits) are either unavailable to buy on demand or purchased in bulk via the marketplace, or exist but at a premium.

We seek to supply all of these guilds and in doing so, directly address the supply issue plaguing play-to-earn games that increases the barriers to entry for these newer games.

Is BreederDAO just limited to breeding?

The name provides tribute to the game that started it all and the main mechanism that ultimately coined the concept of Play-and-Earn – Breeding Axies.

Breeding is one of the most popular mechanics of producing new NFTs or digital assets that blockchain games employ. Other games call it cloning, summoning, crafting, etc. but the core concept stays the same, but we tackle all sorts of asset-generating mechanisms. We chose “Breeder” because breeding is the most popular and familiar name given to this process.

We also partner with several games and guilds to bridge the gap between the asset supply side and the player liquidity side. These partnerships are a testament to the value that we add to the whole ecosystem.
